Dr. Sunil Deshpande passed his MD in Medicine in era of seventies from prestigious Govt Medical College Aurangabad. He decided to serve in semi urban sections of India by choice and settled in Chopda- a taluka place in Jalgaon district. Inspite of having immense zeal to pursue research, poor infrastructure and poor financial returns limited his scope.

Dr. Deshpande raised a 15 bedded hospital with X-ray, ECG, Pathology Lab and ICU services like any semi-urban hospital. He reached out to each and every nearby village and talukas to deliver his services. Close interaction with residents / locals there taught him lessons which reading many literatures could not. Bonding with people inhabited humanitarian qualities in him and that became the true character of his practise. His zeal of knowledge made hin travel pan India attending latest conferences and staying upto to date with his skills. He also served IMA branch of Chopda as a IMA-Secretary .

During his tenure, Chopda branch was awarded “The Best Branch” at state level. Such an achievement brought glory to the entire taluka and was a big achievement in itself.

With his insight into future and his hard work, he initiated a massive blood donation campaign in association with Indian Red Cross Blood Bank at Chopda, which was also linked with HIV detection and awareness, in an era when such campaign were in infancy stage even in the metros. This later led to the establishment of an operational Blood bank at a Taluka level, which were very few in the entire state. His contribution to the social effort saved thousands of lives and promoted many surgeries to be undertaken at Taluka level with adequate blood reserve. Along with his efforts to serve to society, with his sound financial angle, he created huge financial reserve for the blood bank of Rs. 80 Lakh with his integrity and transparency.

Dr. Sunil Deshpande developed Diabetes clinic as a part of practise in 2008-09. He was selected by Diabetic Foot Society of India (DFSI) for Diabetes Foot Project- Basic Advances Workshop at National level and was amongst 25 doctors selected from each zone. The project was funded and monitored by WDF (World Diabetes Federation) and IDF (Indian Diabetes Federation). Lastly, he was one of the 13 doctors selected for advance training In diabetes foot, Germany.

Dr. Deshpande remained attached with many social and financial institute.

With years of experience and knowledge, he dreams is to take INFINITY to new heights.
